In addition to facilitating peer recognition and providing a world forum for outstanding works of scholarship and art, the Academy endevours to provide monetary awards to worthy induviduals to assist them in the continuation of their work.

2005 Ahneta Buchko Papharhaji
(Novi Sad, Serbia)

A Chepa Bear and Aleksander Dukhnovich Prize of $1,000 USA for Rusyn Literature donated by Steven Chepa was awarded to Ahneta Buchko Papharhaji.

Alexander Zozulak
(Slovakia)

A Chepa Bear and Prize of $1,000 USA for Outstanding Achievement donated by Steven Chepa was awarded to Alexander Zozulak.

Volodymyr Fedynyshynets'
(Ukraine)

A Chepa Bear and Prize of $1,000 USA for Outstanding Achievement donated by Steven Chepa was awarded to Volodymyr Fedynyshynets'.

Rusyn Extracurricular School System (Transcarpathian Oblast Ukraine)
A sponsorship of $2,850 USA to publish three new textbooks designed specifically for the Rusyn school program: Slavo za slavom: practychna hramatica (2004), by Mykhayl Almashii and Mykhayl Molnar; Zhyvoe slovo: chytanka (2004), by Mykhayal Almashii; and Nasha ottsiuznya: istoria karpats’kykh rusynuv (2005), by Paul Robert Magocsi, all published by the Valerii Padiak Publishing House in Uzhhorod was provided by Norstone Financial Corporation, Steven Chepa, President.

Teachers of Rusyn classes in Slovakia, Poland and Ukraine
A grant of $ 2,500 USA to provide supplementary curriculum materials to 38 teachers of Rusyn classes in Slovakia, Poland and Ukraine was donated by Steven Chepa.

Rusyn-Russian and Russian-Rusyn Dictionaries by Igor Kercha
A grant of $1,600 USA to print 300 copies of each dictionary was donated by Steven Chepa.

VIIIth World Congress of Rusyns
(Krynitsa, Poland)

A sponsorship of $4,000 USA donated by Steven Chepa to enable 20 of the best students in the Rusyn Extracurricular School Program in Transcarpathia, Ukraine to participate in the VIIIth World Congress of Rusyns in Krynitsa, Poland and then visit the Spis Castle, the Alexander Dukhnovich Theatre(Presov) and the Medzilaborce Folk Festival in Slovakia before returning to Ukraine. With teachers, chaperones and support staff a contingent of 33 people in all. A sponsorship of $2,000 USA was donated by Steven Chepa to stage a Vatra for 250 delegates and guests.

Ukrainian Language Edition of the Encyclopedia of Rusyn History and Culture
A grant of $20,000 CDN to support translation of the Encyclopedia of Rusyn History and Culture into the Ukrainian language was donated by Steven Chepa and Stepan Moldovan, Stittsville, Ontario, Canada, 2004.

2004-2005 Mariya Lendyel (Mukachevo, Ukraine)
The University of Toronto, $5,000 CDN, Steven Chepa Fellowship in Rusyn Studies was awarded to Mariya Lendyel.

A grant of $1,400 USA to support extracurricular Rusyn schools in Transcarpathia was donated by Steven Chepa.

2004 Volodymyr Fedynyshynets' (Ukraine)
A Chepa Bear and Aleksander Dukhnovich Prize of $1,000 USA for Rusyn Literature donated by Steven Chepa was awarded to Volodymyr Fedynyshynets'.

Mikulasa Moyzesa School of Music
(Presov, Slovakia)

A sponsorship of $3,000 USA to support production of the CD “A Tree is Tall”, a selection of Rusyn folk songs performed by students of the Mikulasa Moyesa School of Music, was provided by Norstone Financial Corporation, Steven Chepa, President.

2003-2004 Peter Purdes (Slovakia)
The University of Toronto $5,000 CDN, Steven Chepa Fellowship In Rusyn Studies was awarded to JuDr. Peter Purdes, Faculty of Law, Safarik University, Kosice. Topic: Constitutional and Legal Status of the Rusyn Minority in Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Ukraine, and Serbia after 1989.

2003 Mykolai Kseniak (Slovakia)
A Chepa Bear and Aleksander Dukhnovich Prize of $1,000 USA for Rusyn Literature donated by Steven Chepa was awarded to Mykolai Kseniak.

The 1st International Festival of Rusyn Art, Presov (Slovakia)
A sponsorship of $1,000 USA for the 1st International Festival of Art, Presov June 4-8, was provided by Steven Chepa.

The 1st International Theatre Festival (Presov, Slovakia)
A sponsorship of $1,000 USA for the 1st International Theatre Festival, Presov June 4-8, was provided by Steven Chepa.

The Three Stars Concert
A sponsorship of $5,000 USA for production of a pre-concert CD and the “Three Stars-Three Generations Concert”in conjunction with The VII World Congress of Rusyns and a second sponsorship of $10,800 USA in 2005 for production and distribution of 4,500 “Live in Concert, Three Stars - Three Generations” CDs were provided by Norstone Financial Corporation, Steven Chepa, President.

2002-2003 Boris Varga (Novi Sad, Serbia)
The University of Toronto $5,000 CDN, Steven Chepa Fellowship in Rusyn Studies was awarded to Boris Varga, Balkan correspondent BBC World. Topic: Rusyn and Serbian National Ideas in the Context of Civil War and Political Transformation 1989-2002.
