Rusynophiles
Rusynophiles — persons of Rusyn, or Carpatho-Rusyn, ethnolinguistic background who believe that their people comprise a distinct nationality. Rusynophiles are usually described as representing the “third” orientation, in juxtaposition to *Russophiles and *Ukrainophiles, who argue that Rusyns are only a branch of either the Russian or Ukrainian nationality. As part of the conviction that Rusyns form a distinct people, many (but not all) Rusynophiles believe they should have their own literary language.
